Linda Nicolau, founder of Ecologic by Linda Nicolau S.L. (1993), Ecologic Natural Spa and Ecologic Cosmetics, began her career in the Beauty and Spa world over 25 years ago.
After working for a Tour Operator in the travel industry and collaborating in the design and running of a Hotel in Spain, British-born Linda Nicolau returned to the UK and, having trained and initiated her career as a beauty therapist, she was invited to join the beauty sales field working for Max Factor. She then became an executive for South England and Wales with Estée Lauder after her initial training in Harrods of London.
Later, Linda moved back to Spain and opened her own Day Spa in the Mediterranean island of Mallorca. Her small Day Spa soon became successful and renowned amongst the elite of the city.
After accepting a very attractive business offer for the sale of her city Day Spa, Linda created her own cosmetic import company, Belleza Moderna S.A. She owned and managed the firm as a sole proprietor importing well-known cosmetic brands and products such as Ultra Glow, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, La Perla, Heathcote & Ivory, etc. selling to important perfumery shops and department stores throughout the country. Galerías Preciados and El Corte Inglés were two of her important customers.
Due to her passion for the Beauty world, yet concern for the environment, Linda decided to create her own brand of high quality cosmetics. The range cares for nature and ecology and avoids unnecessary wastage in packaging. After many years of research and development, the brand Ecologic by Linda Nicolau was born; an effective, environmentally friendly and sophisticated Treatment and Colour range with over 150 references. The products are today sold to perfumery shops, beauty salons and Spas.
Ecologic Cosmetics soon became her main focus. With Linda’s background and extensive knowledge in the Spa and Beauty Salon sector, it seemed that opening a Spa of her own was the natural thing to do. After travelling across the globe in search of ideas and inspiration along with her daughter and now company partner, Alexandra, it became obvious that there is a great potential in the Spa industry and the need of appropriate management, to fulfil Spa clients demands. |

After being approached by several parties interested Ecologic’s Beauty and Spa trade knowledge, as well as company structure, training programmes and unique concept, Ecologic Natural Spa was created.

In September 2003, Linda and her daughter, opened an exclusive, luxury Spa in Mallorca, Spain, as a showroom for their Ecologic Natural Spa franchise.
Since then they have held numerous negotiations for the opening of Spas and Wellness Centres (both franchises and made to measure Spas) around the world, with prestigious chains such as Sol Meliá, Iberostar, Grupotel… In December 2004, Ecologic by Linda Nicolau opened AS Wellnes Centre in Andratx (Mallorca – Spain); in January 2005 they collaborated in the launch of Spa Grupotel Parc Natural***** (Mallorca – Spain); in October 2005 an Ecologic Natural Spa franchise was inaugurated at Blau Porto Petro Beach Resort & Spa***** (Mallorca – Spain); and another Ecologic Natural Spa franchise has been signed for EuroSunCare Centre in the region of Aguilas, Murcia (Spain), which is expected to be launched in 2007. At present Ecologic Spa Developers is in the final stages of negotiation for franchises in Granada (Spain) and in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain).

Additionally, due to expertise in therapies and treatments, Ecologic’s team performs training courses for therapists and aestheticians from Spain and Andorra. Some of the companies that have assigned Ecologic to train their staff, include Hotel Béquer from Seville, Hotel Mardavall and Biomar from Palma de Mallorca, Hotel Sidi Saler from Valencia, Hidrópolis from Palma de Mallorca, and many other prestigious Spas from all over the country. The highly qualified staff at Ecologic, regularly write articles for the most important publications in the industry such as “Vida Estética” and “Cosmo Wellness”, which are sold in Spain and America. The firm frequently receives recommendations that are published in national magazines such as ¡Hola! (Hello!), In Style, Mujer Hoy, Thermaespa, Planeta B G&G, Emprendedores and Capital.
